Prerequisites¶
To ensure that you are prepared for this workshop and can follow along with the development activities, please make sure you meet the following prerequisites:
1. Setup Environment¶
Ensure that your development environment is configured correctly, with access to both the AL development tools and an instance of Business Central where you can deploy and test your copilot.
2. Understand File Structure¶
Familiarize yourself with the project directory and files under the src\3-ImportExcelCopilot folder. Understanding the structure will help you navigate and modify the copilot components more effectively.
3. Review Configurations¶
Check the initial setup for the PromptDialog and other components that will be modified throughout this workshop. Ensure that you understand the base functionality before proceeding with the enhancements.
4. Register Copilot¶
Before you start developing the Import Any Excel Copilot, you need to register a new copilot capability named "GPT Import Any Excel" in your Business Central environment. This registration is crucial as it enables the new copilot features that you'll be developing and using throughout the workshop. Please refer to the Registering a Copilot section for detailed instructions on how to complete this step.
